WAYS TO SERVE

We believe that service is our active response to God’s incredible grace. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

BLESSING BOX: The is located at the edge of our entrance. It holds food, personal care, household, and seasonal items for anyone in need to take at any time. NO questions asked.

Community Members are also invited to add nonperishable items to it at any time. We love your donations but please do NOT leave clothing items or opened food containers.

MILLCREEK ELEMENTARY PARTNERSHIP: Grace United serves as one of many community partners at this school. Activities include being a member of the FRYSC Advisory Board, helping with some of the school events, Tuesday Talks, Community Pop-ups, and providing volunteers for the Real Read program.

TATES CREEK COMMUNITY CENTER: This is a partnership with the center, Parks and Rec, Christ Church Cathedral, and other organizations. We meet together to help plan special events such as holiday parties. A craft club is also offered on Tuesday during the school year.

TATES CREEK STUDENT OUTREACH

This outreach was started by ONELex. Once established, it was turned over to community partners in the area. Tates Creek students who walk home are met and provided with snacks. The goal of this program is to develop mentoring relationships with the students. Many students in this area are at risk and have a higher level of food insecurity.

GAINESWAY COMMUNITY PARTNERS-Our church is located in the Gainesway neighborhood. Community partners meet regularly, discuss, and implement ways to help youth in the neighborhood. Festival of Neighbors is held in the summer as a way to gather community.

We prepare and deliver 50 sack lunches monthly for the food ministry of this very important organization. Thanks to Sequel Catery who generously donates the sandwiches each month.

We love preparing the dinner for the families at Ronald McDonald House the first Tuesday of every month.
