MEET OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Liz Fosnaugh-Church Council President

Liz Fosnaugh is our church council President. She is passionate about serving God and is excited to continue to serve on the Leadership Team. Liz has a bachelor’s degree in Cross Cultural studies and a Master’s of Divinity from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul Minnesota.  Liz works remotely serving individuals with disabilities and assists them with understanding what will happen with their disability benefits when they work. She is married to Carl IV and they have a wonderful young daughter. In her free time she enjoys getting together with friends, reading, and being in nature.

Kay Johnson-Senior Warden

Kay Johnson serves as our Senior Warden. After living in several states, she and her four children made Lexington their home. Her family now includes three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Kay attended the Universty of Kentucky together with her oldest daughter. After graduating, Kay worked for the UK Alumini Association as a speech writer for special events and as a writer for alumni publications. She is now retired and enjoys volunteering for both church and in the community.

Kay believes that as Jesus’ disciples, the people of Word of Hope and St. Martha’s work diligently to follow what Jesus asked of us-to love our neighbors as ourselves. She believes that as we become Grace United and move forward with our mission of love, God will continue to empower us to do more.

One of Kay’s favorite sayings comes from St. Frances. He said that we should preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words.  She believes that future Grace United does and will continue to do just that.

Jasmine Allen is our Vice-President. She is a recent graduate from Sullivan University. She currently works at Martine’s Pastries as a chef and endeavors to open a non-profit food truck to serve the Lexington community. I am also a member of the 5 pm worship band. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano/bass, boxing at my gym, and spending time with friends.

Allen Butterfield-Junior Warden

Don Rapske serves as our treasurer. He has been retired for over 20 years. I previously worked for a daily newspaper in Fargo, ND for 37 years. We also had the privilege of having served in the Air Force and North Dakota Air National Guard for 25 years. My wife Delores and I have been married
for over 60 years. Our Son, Doug, his wife Brenda and our granddaughter Ashley, are also residents of Lexington. Two of our grandsons and a granddaughter reside in Fargo. We thoroughly enjoy living in Lexington and love our church family. We look forward to the time that we and St. Martha’s become Grace United.

Karen Green serves as the recording secretary.
